I have been working at Ashtabula Area City Schools since August 2005. For three years I was a Special Education Teacher at Chestnut Elementary before it closed and then transferred to Lakeside High School for four years as a Special Education Teacher. I have been a guidance counselor at the junior high since August 2012. I earned my BA in Psychology from SUNY Brockport, MEd in School Counseling from St. Bonaventure University, and MS in Special Education from Notre Dame College. Prior work experience includes a Special Education Counselor in western New York and a Specialist in a sheltered workshop in Toledo, Ohio. I am married and have two adult children: a daughter who lives in Atlanta, GA with her corgi and a son who lives with his lovely wife and soon-to-be born son in Enid, OK. In my spare time, I enjoy walking, bike riding, going to country music concerts, reading non-fiction books, cross-stitching, traveling, and spending time with my family.
