OELPA
 
The new name of the test this year is OELPA (Ohio English Language Proficiency Assessment). This test consists of 4 sections: Reading, Writing, Listening, and Speaking. All 4 parts are now completed on the computer. This is a new format and the state does not expect results to be delivered until August. Normally they are delivered in May. Also, signed out students, Building Bridges, and GLOA students will have to take the OELPA.

This test is administered in February through March.

OHIO’S ALTERNATIVE ASSESSMENT FOR STUDENTS WITH SIGNIFICANT COGNITIVE DISABILITIES
 
This assessment is given to students who have been identified as having a significant cognitive disability, are learning content that is linked to the Ohio Learning Standards-Extended, and require extensive direct, individualized instruction and substantial supports to achieve measurable gains in the grade -and age-appropriate curriculum. Seventh grade students are tested in English Language Arts and Math and eighth grade students are tested in English Language Arts, Math, and Science.

The dates for test administration are February through April.

OST  (OHIO STATE TESTS)
 
Seventh grade students will be tested in English Language Arts and Math. Eighth grade students are tested in English Language Arts, Math, and Science. This is a mandatory state test and every student is required to take these tests according to the State of Ohio.

The dates for test administration are April through May.
